Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Mockship when you use the studio, save designs, publish share links or subscribe to Pro.

1. The agreement

These Terms of Service (the Terms) are a contract between you and Aman Qureshi, trading as Mockship, Hapa Road, Jamnagar, Gujarat, India, which operates Mockship (Mockship, we, us). They apply whenever you use mockship.app, the Mockship studio, share links, our support channels and anything else we provide (together, the Service). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company or another person, you confirm that you have the authority to bind them, and "you" means that company or person as well.

2. What Mockship is

Mockship is a browser-based tool for turning screenshots into finished images: device and browser frames, backdrops, shadows, overlays, templates and exports. The core editor and standard exports are free and do not require an account. Some features need an account, and some are part of the paid Pro plan.

Editing and exporting happen in your browser. Files you drop into the studio stay on your device unless you choose to save a design, publish a share link or upload a background to your account. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is stored where.

3. Accounts

You can sign in with Google or with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@mockship.app if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, to create an account. You can delete your account at any time from the Account panel in the studio. Deleting your account removes your saved designs, share links, uploaded backgrounds and brand kit.

4. Your content

Screenshots, logos, images and text you bring into Mockship, and the images you create with it, are yours. We claim no ownership over them. You may use your exports for any purpose, including commercial work, without attribution.

So that we can run the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, display and transmit content you choose to save, share or upload, solely to provide the features you asked for. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that remain in routine backups for a short period.

You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you own it or have the rights needed to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload, save or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Impersonate another person, brand or product, or present a mockup as a genuine screenshot of a product in a way intended to deceive.
  • Probe, scan, overload or interfere with the Service, our infrastructure or other users, or bypass any access, storage or plan limits.
  • Scrape, resell or redistribute the templates, backdrops, device frames or other assets we provide, other than as part of images you create with the Service.
  • Use automated tools to create accounts, share links or exports at a scale intended to abuse the free plan.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that we reasonably believe breach these rules.

7. Templates, backdrops and third-party assets

The templates, gradients, patterns, backdrops and device frames in Mockship are provided for use inside the Service. You may use them in the images you export. You may not extract them and distribute them on their own.

Device frames are illustrations. Apple, Google, Samsung and other manufacturers are the owners of their respective trademarks and product designs, and Mockship is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Images found through the Unsplash search are subject to the Unsplash licence, and posts you load from X or Bluesky remain the property of their authors. It is your responsibility to make sure your use of any third-party material is permitted.

8. Pro subscriptions and billing

Pro is a paid subscription billed monthly or yearly. Payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, under Polar's own terms. We never see or store your card details. Prices are shown before you subscribe and include any applicable taxes that Polar is required to collect.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the pricing panel in the studio. Cancelling stops future charges; your Pro features stay active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your account then returns to the free plan. Content that exceeds free-plan limits is kept but cannot be added to until you upgrade again or remove some of it.

Because Pro is a digital service that starts immediately, payments are generally non-refundable. If something has gone wrong, write to support@mockship.app and we will look at it case by case. Nothing here limits any refund rights you have under the consumer law where you live.

We may change Pro pricing or what each plan includes. Price changes take effect at your next renewal, and we will tell you at least 14 days beforehand by email.

9. The free plan

The free plan includes limits on saved designs, storage and which assets and export sizes are available. We may change these limits from time to time. Where a change reduces what free accounts can keep, we will give reasonable notice and will not delete existing designs without warning.

10. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep Mockship available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue the Service or a paid feature entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your saved designs.

11. Termination

You can stop using Mockship at any time and delete your account from the studio. We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your account has been inactive for more than 24 months, after giving you notice by email where we can. On closure, your content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You are responsible for checking that exports meet the requirements of wherever you publish them, for example App Store dimensions or social platform rules, which can change without our knowledge.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Mockship will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. The date at the top shows the current revision. For material changes we will notify account holders by email or with a notice in the studio at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Jamnagar, Gujarat, unless the consumer protection law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

16. Contact

Questions about these Terms go to support@mockship.app, or use the Support page.
